Hello,
I'm David Gibson, a photographer, creative arts educatorĀ and manager with a passion for creating meaningful images and supporting others in developing their creative and photographic practice.
My photographic work is rooted in an exploration of place, memory, and atmosphere. Through the documentation of contemporary ruins, abandoned spaces, and overlooked landscapes, I investigate the emotional and sensory experiences that emerge when we encounter locations shaped by time, change, and absence. I am particularly interested in how photography can communicate the subtle feelings, histories, and narratives embedded within a place.
Alongside my photographic practice, I have extensive experience in arts education and creative leadership. I enjoy working with learners, artists, and communities to foster creativity, critical thinking, and visual literacy, helping individuals build both technical skills and confidence in their own creative voice.
If you're interested in my work, would like to discuss photography, creative education, or potential collaborations, or simply want to say hello, please feel free to get in touch at: dgibson.photography@googlemail.com.
